Dan Novotny

Coach Novotny brings over 30 years of basketball experience to the lakes area. Playing under Hall of Fame Coach Dave Tank, he was an All-Conference forward for his State High School Champion Anoka Tornadoes. He then lead his college teams in scoring and rebounding twice, including an All-Region award, before injuries derailed his career. He spent three years as Assistant Women's Coach at Presentation College, which included a 3rd place finish in the NSCAA National Tournament in Maine.

Recently, Coach Novotny has been directly involved in the youth basketball programs in Perham, MN. This includes coaching boys and girls youth teams, running summer camps, and teaching both group and individual skills to all age levels.

Garry Grewe

Coach Grewe brings 25 years of High School Boys Head Coaching experience, including 11 seasons at Pequot Lakes and 7 seasons each at Park Rapids and Bemidji.  He has 359 career victories. Coach Grewe was also 7AA Coach of the Year three times and Mid-State Conference coach of the year twice.

Coach Grewe’s career at Pequot Lakes was highlighted by a state tournament appearance in 2003-04, the first in school history, with a team that finished 15-13 overall. The Patriots again qualified for state in 2006-07 with an undefeated regular season record, which ultimately finished 28-1, with that loss coming in the state tournament. The team returned to state a year later and was 29-3 overall while finishing third at state.

Recently, Coach Grewe has been served multiple roles with youth basketball in Perham, MN,  including coaching multiple junior high teams.

Ryan Reuter

Coach Reuter played his high school basketball in Red Wing under Hall of Fame Coach Craig Uveling and was part of two conference championships teams. He played college basketball at St. John's University while also coaching camps during the summer. Coach Reuter served as an Assistant Coach at Perham High school for 7 years where he was director of skill development and off-season workouts. During his time on the Yellowjacket staff, the program enjoyed 3 state tournament visits, one state championship, and one 3rd place finish.

Recently, Coach Reuter has been coaching both boys and girls youth basketball, while also running camps, fall leagues, and individual training.
